Yo Soy Muy Guapo I Guess...

Hey yall hope you had a great week! So this week was the last week of the transfer and I was really hoping that I was going to leave.  But unfortunately, I am staying for a 4th transfer here in Brookings.  Now I'm not upset that I get to stay here, I mean I love it here.  But it's only fun as a missionary for like 4 and a half months and then it gets boring.  But I'm excited as well.  We have some awseome people we are teaching who have a lot of potential. This week we had a lesson with our friend Lowless and he is a super cool guy.  He is from Papua New Guinea and he is a such a cool guy.  He is very introverted and very soft spoken so it was kinda hard for him to talk to the members, but he will get more comfortable as he comes more.  But the craziest thing is that he has only been in the US for three weeks.  He is here with some program where he comes to SDSU for school, but hopefully we will be able to set him on date for baptism. Anyways...

Elder Bangeter

Hey yall hope your week was good! This week was a little bonkers with zone confrence and stuff, but it was chill cause zone confrence was super sick. We had Elder Bangeter of the seventy come and tour our mission and it was super sick.  For zone conference we got to go all the way down to Omaha for the day and it was pretty much my first time in Omaha beside for transfers so that was rad.  We got to spend the night with some Elders in Omaha and the next day on Wednesday was zone conference.  Of course Elder Bangeter was there and he gave some awesome insights and words and answered some of our questions.  One answer he gave, that really stuck out to me is that a lot of people don't know or have a why behind their purpose or beliefs.  But, because our church has the restored gospel of Jesus Christ we are able to have a why and have a reason for what we believe and what we do to sever and help others.  Elder Bangeter then says that as we help others build the...

The Big 20

Hey yall! Hope your week was great!  First off thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and cards!  Soo I'm 20 now.  That was sum special supposed to happen. It doesn't feel different at all but it's just super weird to have to say I'm 20 years old but I'll get over it. This week was alright it was a pretty slow week. A lot of people said nah to Jesus, which was a little sad but they'll come around eventually. Something that happend this week, that was actually pretty hype.  One of our friends that me and my previous comp were teaching had moved to Reno Nevada, has moved back. But it's also kinda sad becuase of the reason that he had to move back. But our first lesson with him he asked what he needed to do in order to be baptized so we told him and now he I'd getting baptized this week on Sunday. I know it's pretty short notice but he had already been to church 8 times and had been taught everything but the law of chastity was his big hold up but i...

Last Week As A Teenager

Image
Hey y'all!  Hope you had a good week! This week was pretty fire. Full of lots of yelling at people about Jesus and getting rejected but we keep going cause the grind don't stop. Anyways it's pretty baller cause this next week is my last week as a teenager and lucky ol' me I get to spend it yelling at more people and getting rejected more. This week we gotta go back to that one old dude's farm and help him weed some more plants.  But instead of potatoes, it was watermelon and it was much easier cause we only had to get rid of the really tall weeds that blocked the sun getting to the melon. But it was pretty fun.  The old guy gives most of his produce to Feeding Brookings, which we help at every week and it's basically a type of food bank.  Another fun thing I did this week was go to Minnesota. That was rad.  I found out that our area had a Welcome to Minnesota sign that was just barely in our area, so of course with Nick serving his mish there I had to take a pic...
