The Last Dance

Hey yall hope you've had a good two weeks 

These past two weeks have been kinda crazy.  On Thursday two weeks ago we had interviews with prez and it was crazy because it was my very last interview.  I am very grateful for him and all that he has done for me.  We talked a lot about after mission life and he gave me a lot of very good council for life.  Also on this day we had a random exchange with Elder Findlay, who I had served around up here in Sioux Falls the first time, so it was super fun to be with him on a little trio exchange.  The next day we had exchanges with the zone leaders and I went with Elder Corrigan who I was his district leader like 4 ish transfers ago so it was fun to mob the streets with him.

Then last week on Friday we had zone confrence and man it was super weird giving my departing testimony.  When I first started my mission I always would listen to the missionaries who were giving their testimony and think that it would never be me up there cuz it just felt like such a long time.  But it literally felt like I blinked and I was standing at the pulpit giving mine.  Other than that ZC was super good, learned a lot about how we can teach from the scriptures and to use them effectively instead of just reading them with our friends.

Honestly I'm just going to talk about what has happend this week to cuz this is going to be my last email.  This week has kinda flown by cuz we had district council and soccer night on Tuesday.  Then on Wednesday we had trainer trainee so we got to drive all the way down to Omaha and spend the day with all the people training which was fun.  It took so long that we didn't end up getting home till like 10:30.  We had switched cars with our ZLs who had a minivan so all of the people that were training could all go down at once, and we also had apartment inspections so we gave them accidentally both sets of our keys to our apartment to our ZLs.  So when we got back super late, we were locked out and we had to crawl through the window to get inside. 

Then yesterday we has another exchange with out district leader and we let both of our greenie lead our areas so they can get used to it, but it was a fun day. 

But in all seriousness, I am super grateful for my time I have had to serve the Lord here in this part of his vineyard in the Midwest.  I and thankful for all the of the leaders that I have had who have shaped me and helped me become the missionary and person I am today. I just want to say that I know that God loves each and every one of his children and doesn't want to see us suffer.  That's why he sent his Son, to suffer for us so that through him we are able to return to Him.  One of the greatest lessons I've learned on my mission is how powerful the Atonement of Jesus Christ is there is nothing that we can do that will separate us from the love and grace God has.

Isaiah 1:18
"Come let us reason together, though you sins be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow though they be crimson they shall be as wool."

Hey yall hope you all had a good week! Since I didn't talk about anything last week I'll talk more.  So we had the start of a new transfer and it was pretty funny cause we only had 1 new Elder come in.  We didn't get to do our normal transfer stuff but he got the whole spotlight on him and when he told everyone where he was going everybody went crazy. But since we had a new transfer I got a new companion and they split my area from the Rockbrook/Lakeview to just Lakeview.  It honestly sucks cause it's all rich people.  My new comps name is Elder Reidhead and he's a super cool guy from Arizona.  He hasn't been out for super long but so far we've been having a good time.  The first Friday we were together we were out doing missionary stuff and we saw a couch on the side of the road in front of this house.  It said "free" so we stuffed it in the back of our car and it barley fit and was hanging halfway out of our car but now we have a couch On the fir...

This Area Sucks

Hey yall hope you had good week! So this past week, I'm going to be honest, sucked really bad.  All of the people that we were teaching from the first week, we have had to stop teaching.  So we have nobody as of now to teach so this past week has been filled with nothing but knocking on doors trying to find people.  But we do have a thing going on in our mission right now where we are challenged with visiting every member on our ward before the end of the transfer so that at least give us something to do. This week was also very very hot.  It was the first time this year where it got up to 100 degrees, so that wasn't fun.  We did have interviews with President Calaway this week and that was pretty chill.  He was able to give me my mobile temple recommended so that's hype. Almost Got My Phone Stolen

Hey yall, hope you had a good week. I'm going to be honest I don't remember much from last week, but on Tuesday we had our soccer night.  At first it was perfectly normal weather.  Right as we started, it started to rain but we kept playing anyways.  It was super fun, but we stopped as soon as it started to lighting.  We were trippin at the end cuz a bunch of us left our phones at a tree, but some guy that was there grabbed them and took them into his car to keep them dry.  We were freaking out cuz we thought someone stole our phones. Also on Tuesday, right after our district council, we had a lesson with this lady named Leah.  She was super cool.  She had sent us a request from the Come Unto Christ website and she was super prepared for us.  We talked a lot about baptism with her and she said that she wants her daughter to be baptized so we taught about baptism and set her on date for the 17th so hopefully everything will work out.
