I Touched A Horse

Hey y'all hope your week was fantastic!

This week was alright I guess. I don't know if I've emphasized it enough but this area lowkey suuuuuuucks.  But I heard something from our ZL, and idk if it's 100% true, but president Calaway wants to see if I can revive this area so I'm going to work my tail off to get some bappys.

Anyway the beginning of this week kinda sucked.  Very slow, not a lot of action but the last few day were good.  We had exchanges with our district leader in Huron, South Dakota which is their area on Friday and it was really fun.  We worked hard and found like 6 people which is pretty good for and area like theirs.  But if I'm being honest, I don't think we talked to one person that whole day who spoke English, like there are sooo many Spanish people it's crazy we had to use Google translate to teach and talk with them.

And Saturday we woke up and left Huron and had a nice hour and half drive back to Armour.  Then the Bartletts, who are members, wanted us over for dinner and a bit of service.  They live in a town called Burke which is almost half way between Wagner and Winner (but it's closer to Winner).  They had us ripping ceiling tiles outta their basement and we raised their ceiling light a smidge but it was super fun to get to know them.  Turns out that sister Bartlett is a champion barrel racer so that super cool and they have a ton of horses so we got to pet them and take pics with them.

Sunday was something else, and when I say there was nobody at church I'm almost telling the truth but I'm very close to it.  There were probably 8 adults and 6 kids all between 12 and 1 so that was crazy.  Definitely the least amount of people I've ever seen come to church.  Sacrament meeting was about 30 minutes long and second hour was close to 45 to hour long.  TBH, I'd rather be in Atlantic again.

Anyways I totally forgot to make and send this on Monday and Tuesday to you are getting it today which is sick cause we had zone confrence which was so fun I got to see all the homies and prez and sister Calaway.

Hey yall! Hopw you had a good week and a good 4th.  This week was pretty good. This week was transfer week so things were a little crazy but me and my comp are both staying here in Brookings which is lit, but nothing really to crazy happend with transfers sooooo. But of course we had the 4th of July this week and sadly, cuz this ward is a little wack, no one invited us over for a party or fireworks so we were on our own.  We went to Walmart and bought a cheap charcoal grill and we whipped up some mash potatoes and some steaks. But after that we tried to go and played Frisbee golf and as soon as we started playing the first hole we were getting swarmed by like 40-50+ mosquitos.   Because of that, the second we finished the first hole we booked it back to our car and left and went bowling. Yo Soy Muy Guapo I Guess...

Hey yall hope you had a great week! So this week was the last week of the transfer and I was really hoping that I was going to leave.  But unfortunately, I am staying for a 4th transfer here in Brookings.  Now I'm not upset that I get to stay here, I mean I love it here.  But it's only fun as a missionary for like 4 and a half months and then it gets boring.  But I'm excited as well.  We have some awseome people we are teaching who have a lot of potential. This week we had a lesson with our friend Lowless and he is a super cool guy.  He is from Papua New Guinea and he is a such a cool guy.  He is very introverted and very soft spoken so it was kinda hard for him to talk to the members, but he will get more comfortable as he comes more.  But the craziest thing is that he has only been in the US for three weeks.  He is here with some program where he comes to SDSU for school, but hopefully we will be able to set him on date for baptism. LEETS GOO CHEIFS

How's it going peeps?  I hope y'alls weeks was great!!!   This week was baller we had zone conference so that was swag. Tuesday was just a regular normal day just knocking doors and trying to find some people to teach. Since our area is super big we cover many small little towns and we recently got a referal for this lady next to this one small town called Cumberland. So on this day we decided to go down there to see if we could talk to a few people but it really sucked since literally nobody was home and the lady that we had the referral for said that she didn't want to meet with us yet since she has like issues with her husband so she didn't want us to come over. So the whole like 25-30 minute drive to this small town was all for nothing, so that sucked. Then when we got back we went over to a recent converts house to help him move some stuff in his nasty garage and when i say this garage was nasty is was NASTY so after that, I just ended the night.
