Turkey Day!!

Happy Thanksgiving yall! I hope you had a good day stuffing yourself with good food and pies cause I know I had a good time this year.  For Thanksgiving we were invited by the Bartlett family to spend Thanksgiving with them and it was awesome. Only the parents are members and the rest of the family aren't but the parents told us none of them are interested in becoming members but they love the missionaries cause they used to have the missionaries live with them. This week was alright I guess.  We had district p day on Monday so we spent the day up in Mitchell. We did a little gift exchange thing where we just buy something from a thrift store and give it so someone in the district it was pretty fun but it only lasted so long.  But later we were playing hide and go seek at the ward building, and that night I became the hide and go seek champion. This week for church we were in Winner.  There were some members who don't live in Winner but know like all the members ther...

I Touched A Horse

Hey y'all hope your week was fantastic! This week was alright I guess. I don't know if I've emphasized it enough but this area lowkey suuuuuuucks.  But I heard something from our ZL, and idk if it's 100% true, but president Calaway wants to see if I can revive this area so I'm going to work my tail off to get some bappys. Anyway the beginning of this week kinda sucked.  Very slow, not a lot of action but the last few day were good.  We had exchanges with our district leader in Huron, South Dakota which is their area on Friday and it was really fun.  We worked hard and found like 6 people which is pretty good for and area like theirs.  But if I'm being honest, I don't think we talked to one person that whole day who spoke English, like there are sooo many Spanish people it's crazy we had to use Google translate to teach and talk with them. And Saturday we woke up and left Huron and had a nice hour and half drive back to Armour.  Then the Bartletts, who ar...

Truck 0 - Deer 1

Hey y'all hope your had a great week!! So now that I've spent about a week here in my new area I've learned a few more things about it.  So, like I said in my last email the area is called Wagner/Winner and it is probably the biggest area in our mission because our area consists of two branches.  One in the town Wagner and one in the town of Winner.  But the town where our apartment is in is called Armour and it's 30 ish minutes north of Wagner.  So we have to drive 30 every morning to "work".  And I won't lie, these towns make my first area Atlantic, Iowa look big.  So the work is definitely going to be slow and very hard but the members here are awesome and I want to help them as much as I can here. So fire, church here we alternate every other week for both branches.  This past Sunday we were in Winner which is about an hour and a half away, so had to leave real early to make it on time for church.  Then afterwards we just worked all day in Win...

Transfers

Hey y'all hope you had a great week! We just had transfers today, (as of the day I'm writing this) but sadly I'm no longer in Brookings.  I will miss that town.  I loved the members and the people.  And sadly, I'll miss Taimoors baptism this Saturday, which is hype.  But now I'm in a dual branch area called Wagner/Winner.  It's a really big area and both the towns we cover are very veery small.  Like smaller than Atlantic combined probably, so hopefully these next few transfers won't suck.  I'm with Elder McNeil from Layton and bro is literally 7 feet tall.  He is a giant but he's super cool. Like I said earlier, Taimoor in Brookings is getting baptized this Saturday which is soooo sick.  He is super excited and I'm super grateful to have had the chance to help him on his journey.  We had some awesome lessons with him and I can't wait to see what's in store for him. On Friday we had exchanges with our zone leaders and we changed it up th...
