Prayer Works

Hey yall!


Sorry for the late email I totally spaced it yesterday so now you get it. But this week was pretty good it was a little slow so there isn't really that much to talk about hopefully things will pick up. 


So I think I've mentioned the Vargas family before in my emails and they are the one family that I baptized three of their kids when I first got here but after last transfer we hadn't been able to get into a lesson with them and every time we went over to their house they would either stand us up or they would just reschedule then stand us up and this had happened for 2-3 weeks so this was kinda scary because their while family is our entire recent convert pool and I'd we can't get in with them it definitely raises some red flags but on Sunday we had the thought to go to their house one last time before we turned it over to the ward because it was taking too much time out of our day to have to deal with this and when we showed up their whole family was there and we were finally able to have a lesson with them so that was super hype.


We have this one lady that we are teaching and her name is Amanda and her life is super crazy she has had to deal with pretty much everything drugs, alcohol, abuse, you name it but when we first met her she told us that she had prayed for someone or something to come and help her and a couple days later we show up and she knew that this is God trying to help her and she is super hype she wants to come to church, stop drinking and smoking.  In a lesson that we had with her, we were not planning on putting her on date but we had the strongest prompting to do so and we invited her to be baptized on June 1st and she accepted and so all the prayers for her and for our other friend Daniel who is still on date but really struggling right now 


Jeffrey R. Holland is literally the GOAT and I love this man with my whole heart and the talk that he gave in last general conference was sooooo good and I definitely suggest you study that talk but he says something really cool in this talk.


"God hears every prayer we offer and responds to each of them according to the path He has outlined for our perfection" 


God will answer out prays but it might not be in the way you want but it will be in the way you need

Hey yall! Hopw you had a good week and a good 4th.  This week was pretty good. This week was transfer week so things were a little crazy but me and my comp are both staying here in Brookings which is lit, but nothing really to crazy happend with transfers sooooo. But of course we had the 4th of July this week and sadly, cuz this ward is a little wack, no one invited us over for a party or fireworks so we were on our own.  We went to Walmart and bought a cheap charcoal grill and we whipped up some mash potatoes and some steaks. But after that we tried to go and played Frisbee golf and as soon as we started playing the first hole we were getting swarmed by like 40-50+ mosquitos.   Because of that, the second we finished the first hole we booked it back to our car and left and went bowling. Yo Soy Muy Guapo I Guess...

Hey yall hope you had a great week! So this week was the last week of the transfer and I was really hoping that I was going to leave.  But unfortunately, I am staying for a 4th transfer here in Brookings.  Now I'm not upset that I get to stay here, I mean I love it here.  But it's only fun as a missionary for like 4 and a half months and then it gets boring.  But I'm excited as well.  We have some awseome people we are teaching who have a lot of potential. This week we had a lesson with our friend Lowless and he is a super cool guy.  He is from Papua New Guinea and he is a such a cool guy.  He is very introverted and very soft spoken so it was kinda hard for him to talk to the members, but he will get more comfortable as he comes more.  But the craziest thing is that he has only been in the US for three weeks.  He is here with some program where he comes to SDSU for school, but hopefully we will be able to set him on date for baptism. LEETS GOO CHEIFS

How's it going peeps?  I hope y'alls weeks was great!!!   This week was baller we had zone conference so that was swag. Tuesday was just a regular normal day just knocking doors and trying to find some people to teach. Since our area is super big we cover many small little towns and we recently got a referal for this lady next to this one small town called Cumberland. So on this day we decided to go down there to see if we could talk to a few people but it really sucked since literally nobody was home and the lady that we had the referral for said that she didn't want to meet with us yet since she has like issues with her husband so she didn't want us to come over. So the whole like 25-30 minute drive to this small town was all for nothing, so that sucked. Then when we got back we went over to a recent converts house to help him move some stuff in his nasty garage and when i say this garage was nasty is was NASTY so after that, I just ended the night.
