Out Of The Blue

Hey y'all hope you all had a good week!!


This week we had this crazy story with this referal that we got. So there is this guy named Jacklin, we got a referral for him from our zone leaders and they said that he only speaks French. So we kinda just hucked it and pulled up to their house and we asked if we could share a message with him.  He said that he was busy and what not but that we could come back later (and bro definitely spoke English, not the bes,t but it was English)  Anyways, a few days later we pull up to their house again for the lesson we go inside, say what's up to a few people and there was this one guy who's name is Bedlay who was kinda giving us some funny vibes.  We didn't think anything of it and we sat down got to know Jacklin a bit and turns out he's from Haiti and has lived in Sioux Falls for like 3 months and his brother (Bedlay is his brother) kinda showed him the church.  We thought that was cool but we went through and taught him the restoration and we did our whole shebang and at the end his brother came in and said some weird stuff like "you can't teach me anything I don't know about your church" and crap like that and so me and my comp Elder Dunlop were like oh boy we have to deal with this basher while we are trying to teach this guy.  But then he started to ask these questions that caught us off guard and he said "how long have you been out" and so we said how long we've been on our missions then he said, "Who's the District Leader" and me and my comp started laughing because that question came way out of the blue and oddly enough my comp Edler Dunlop is the DL.  It turns out that Bedlay, Jacklins brother is a member and had served a mission in Florida and he brought his brother Jacklin to church so that was like super fun and crazy. 


Anyways other fun stuff that happend this week we had exchanges with Falls Park which is the area right next to us and I went on a split with a missionary that was in my same MTC district. 


We had a couple baller lessons a lot of lessons that fell through but we kept on going anyways this week was fun

Hey yall! Hopw you had a good week and a good 4th.  This week was pretty good. This week was transfer week so things were a little crazy but me and my comp are both staying here in Brookings which is lit, but nothing really to crazy happend with transfers sooooo. But of course we had the 4th of July this week and sadly, cuz this ward is a little wack, no one invited us over for a party or fireworks so we were on our own.  We went to Walmart and bought a cheap charcoal grill and we whipped up some mash potatoes and some steaks. But after that we tried to go and played Frisbee golf and as soon as we started playing the first hole we were getting swarmed by like 40-50+ mosquitos.   Because of that, the second we finished the first hole we booked it back to our car and left and went bowling. Yo Soy Muy Guapo I Guess...

Hey yall hope you had a great week! So this week was the last week of the transfer and I was really hoping that I was going to leave.  But unfortunately, I am staying for a 4th transfer here in Brookings.  Now I'm not upset that I get to stay here, I mean I love it here.  But it's only fun as a missionary for like 4 and a half months and then it gets boring.  But I'm excited as well.  We have some awseome people we are teaching who have a lot of potential. This week we had a lesson with our friend Lowless and he is a super cool guy.  He is from Papua New Guinea and he is a such a cool guy.  He is very introverted and very soft spoken so it was kinda hard for him to talk to the members, but he will get more comfortable as he comes more.  But the craziest thing is that he has only been in the US for three weeks.  He is here with some program where he comes to SDSU for school, but hopefully we will be able to set him on date for baptism. LEETS GOO CHEIFS

How's it going peeps?  I hope y'alls weeks was great!!!   This week was baller we had zone conference so that was swag. Tuesday was just a regular normal day just knocking doors and trying to find some people to teach. Since our area is super big we cover many small little towns and we recently got a referal for this lady next to this one small town called Cumberland. So on this day we decided to go down there to see if we could talk to a few people but it really sucked since literally nobody was home and the lady that we had the referral for said that she didn't want to meet with us yet since she has like issues with her husband so she didn't want us to come over. So the whole like 25-30 minute drive to this small town was all for nothing, so that sucked.
