Almost Getting Beat Up PT.2

Whats up everyone!


So if you saw my last email you are probably really confused of what happend and why I only sent that short email.  To tell the truth I wasn't done with the email and my mom thought I was and she sent it out. So this week I'll give you some more deatails.


So the whole story begins with us having our exchanges with our ZLs and the day started of normal just knocking doors having lessons and such but around like 3:30 ish right before we were about to head to dinner me and Elder Filmore (the ZL i was with) went to this like extended stay hotel/apartment thing.  As we pull in we see this guy just sitting there so Elder Filmore rolls down the window and asks this guy if he wants to hear a message and he said "no thanks" but this guys was acting kinda weird and said "ill trade you a joint for your wheels".  We kinda laughed that off and said have a nice day and drove off and we pull into the parking lot of this place and we are doing some other stuff to find this other lady that we came here to see and as we were about to get out of the car this guy comes over to us and just starts yelling at us and says stuff like "I don't like that disrespect you guys gave me" or "I don't care that the cops are over there I will beat your a** up right now and right here" or "i'm not drunk or high", but clearly he was cuz he offered a joint and he was drinking a huge bud light, but anyways we just said sorry and got in the car as he is still yelling at us and we drive away.  Me and Elder Filmore were a little freaked out about that so we just headed straight to dinner.


So there is the whole story for those of you who asked for it.  But another crazy thing that happened that day is that we got yelled at by another guy as we were just walking around this apartment.  So yet again we were at a place to see if somebody was home, so we knock their house and then we kinda start wandering around and we ended up at this one apartment.  Unfortunately it was locked so we couldn't get in and so we start walking around to the front and this guy was outside this other building and we kinda just said hi to him and we were about to ask if he wanted to hear a message but he kinda waved us on and said no thanks when he found out we were mormon then randomly as we were walking away he just starts going off on us saying "I don't even know why you guys are here" and other bull crap about Joseph Smith and our church so we just said have a good day and left and we walked back to our car.


Both of those stories happened on the same day with in like 3 hours of each other, but that's the only crazy thing that happened last week.  This week was a little slow.  The weather lately has sucked big time it's now windy and cold and snowy but hopefully that will clear up fast.


We have some cool people right now that we are teaching here in Sioux falls.  First we have this sick kid named CG and he just turned nine and is about to be baptized this weekend and he is sooo excited for it and his mom is a member and we have been working with her to get this so can't wait for that.  We have this really cold guy named Daniel.  I'm not sure if I've mentioned him before but like his mom was a member a long time ago and he had come to church when he was younger and just recently started to come back and wants to be baptized and right now we have him schedules for the sixth we just have some problems with him needing to get married and have a interview with our mission prez, but other than that he is good for baptism. other sick news that I got this week was that the lady named Barb in Atlantic that we had been teaching for like 6 months just recently got baptized on Saturday and that made me so happy to hear.


Sioux Falls is lit.  I've been loving it sooo much more than Atlantic and I guess our mission president knew that I hated Atlantic but I never told him.  But it's whatever since I'm now in the best area in the mish.  I'll try not to leave you guys hanging ever again like I did last week.

Hey yall! Hopw you had a good week and a good 4th.  This week was pretty good. This week was transfer week so things were a little crazy but me and my comp are both staying here in Brookings which is lit, but nothing really to crazy happend with transfers sooooo. But of course we had the 4th of July this week and sadly, cuz this ward is a little wack, no one invited us over for a party or fireworks so we were on our own.  We went to Walmart and bought a cheap charcoal grill and we whipped up some mash potatoes and some steaks. But after that we tried to go and played Frisbee golf and as soon as we started playing the first hole we were getting swarmed by like 40-50+ mosquitos.   Because of that, the second we finished the first hole we booked it back to our car and left and went bowling. Yo Soy Muy Guapo I Guess...

Hey yall hope you had a great week! So this week was the last week of the transfer and I was really hoping that I was going to leave.  But unfortunately, I am staying for a 4th transfer here in Brookings.  Now I'm not upset that I get to stay here, I mean I love it here.  But it's only fun as a missionary for like 4 and a half months and then it gets boring.  But I'm excited as well.  We have some awseome people we are teaching who have a lot of potential. This week we had a lesson with our friend Lowless and he is a super cool guy.  He is from Papua New Guinea and he is a such a cool guy.  He is very introverted and very soft spoken so it was kinda hard for him to talk to the members, but he will get more comfortable as he comes more.  But the craziest thing is that he has only been in the US for three weeks.  He is here with some program where he comes to SDSU for school, but hopefully we will be able to set him on date for baptism. LEETS GOO CHEIFS

How's it going peeps?  I hope y'alls weeks was great!!!   This week was baller we had zone conference so that was swag. Tuesday was just a regular normal day just knocking doors and trying to find some people to teach. Since our area is super big we cover many small little towns and we recently got a referal for this lady next to this one small town called Cumberland. So on this day we decided to go down there to see if we could talk to a few people but it really sucked since literally nobody was home and the lady that we had the referral for said that she didn't want to meet with us yet since she has like issues with her husband so she didn't want us to come over. So the whole like 25-30 minute drive to this small town was all for nothing, so that sucked. Then when we got back we went over to a recent converts house to help him move some stuff in his nasty garage and when i say this garage was nasty is was NASTY so after that, I just ended the night.
