I Guess It's A New Year

Happy new year everybody!!!! Tbh this holiday is silly because it is literally just another day but if you like then all the power to ya.


Again I'll try my best to remember what happened this week. There is one thing that I can remember and that is being able to go to the temple. Just this week the winters quarter temple reopened because it was closed for a deep cleaning I guess.  We were able to go to it on Thursday which was actually super fun because is missionary were the only ones there.  I always love to go through a new temple that I've never been to.  After the temple we took a bunch of pics with everyone and went to some church building and had some food and then some of us went to a sonic to get slushies and to just hang and talk.


With it being a the new years just to have a little fun since it's hard to do that as a missionary we decided to hang up some decorations that my mom sent us and some confetti balloon guns and now our apartment is covered in confetti. Confetti is like the main reason new years sucks cuz you always have to clean it up after and it's no fun.


Honestly the temple was the only real fun thing we did this week other than that it was a pretty boring week but today we did come down to CB (Council Bluffs) to come hang with all the other missionaries and we decided to go thrift shopping like we always do and I now have a fire fit.


I can't wait to start my first full year as a missionary can't wait to see what this year had in store whether it be bad or good who knows.  I hope you all had a safe and fun new years and that you all can start it off strong


28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.


29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.


30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

 
Just know that if something is going wrong this new year and it feels like the whole world is on your back just know that Jesus and our loving heavenly father is always there to help us through the hard times in out lives.

Hey yall! Hopw you had a good week and a good 4th.  This week was pretty good. This week was transfer week so things were a little crazy but me and my comp are both staying here in Brookings which is lit, but nothing really to crazy happend with transfers sooooo. But of course we had the 4th of July this week and sadly, cuz this ward is a little wack, no one invited us over for a party or fireworks so we were on our own.  We went to Walmart and bought a cheap charcoal grill and we whipped up some mash potatoes and some steaks. But after that we tried to go and played Frisbee golf and as soon as we started playing the first hole we were getting swarmed by like 40-50+ mosquitos.   Because of that, the second we finished the first hole we booked it back to our car and left and went bowling. Yo Soy Muy Guapo I Guess...

Hey yall hope you had a great week! So this week was the last week of the transfer and I was really hoping that I was going to leave.  But unfortunately, I am staying for a 4th transfer here in Brookings.  Now I'm not upset that I get to stay here, I mean I love it here.  But it's only fun as a missionary for like 4 and a half months and then it gets boring.  But I'm excited as well.  We have some awseome people we are teaching who have a lot of potential. This week we had a lesson with our friend Lowless and he is a super cool guy.  He is from Papua New Guinea and he is a such a cool guy.  He is very introverted and very soft spoken so it was kinda hard for him to talk to the members, but he will get more comfortable as he comes more.  But the craziest thing is that he has only been in the US for three weeks.  He is here with some program where he comes to SDSU for school, but hopefully we will be able to set him on date for baptism. LEETS GOO CHEIFS

How's it going peeps?  I hope y'alls weeks was great!!!   This week was baller we had zone conference so that was swag. Tuesday was just a regular normal day just knocking doors and trying to find some people to teach. Since our area is super big we cover many small little towns and we recently got a referal for this lady next to this one small town called Cumberland. So on this day we decided to go down there to see if we could talk to a few people but it really sucked since literally nobody was home and the lady that we had the referral for said that she didn't want to meet with us yet since she has like issues with her husband so she didn't want us to come over. So the whole like 25-30 minute drive to this small town was all for nothing, so that sucked. Then when we got back we went over to a recent converts house to help him move some stuff in his nasty garage and when i say this garage was nasty is was NASTY so after that, I just ended the night.
