Locked Out

Howdy everybody! I hope you all are doing well and enjoying life. This week felt like it flew by but at the same time it didn't. But none the less, last week I mentioned that we stayed the night at our district leaders apartment because we had district council so after that all went down and we drove like an hour back to Atlantic and got to our apartment we found that we had been locked out of our apartment.  Normally we just leave our door unlocked because don't have a key nor did we ever get one, so we had to call the land lord. Some dude came out and unlocked our door and let us in and the very next day he gave us a key so now we have a key to our apartment so that was pretty epic.


Our little land lord guy also told us that we have a storage unit in the basement of our building, so me and my comp got pretty curious to see what was in our unit. When we when down there it was lowkey spooky it looked like we were going to get murdered until we turned on the lights.  We found our unit and looked at what was in it. we found out that there was an Xbox and a bunch of games, but don't worry we don't have a TV so we can't play it.


Other than getting locked out of our apartment not too much has happend this week. We were over at this lady named Dee's house helping her move some wood. This little old lady is like a store. she just kept on giving us stuff. She gave us ties, some food to cook a dinner, soap, and some random stuff. But she took us into her little garage and showed us all the stuff that she was trying to sell and she has a lot of stuff! She also gave me and my comp some toy cars and trucks to add to our collection I guess.


On Sunday I was literally so bored and it sucked big time. Out of 4 lessons and a bunch of people that we were going to contact we talked to maybe 2 people the whole day. All our lessons had canceled and everyone was not home so we drove to a town like 40ish minutes away from Atlantic and I got to see Albert the bull.  Now it's not a real bull it's just some big ol' statue of a bull so that was probably the most exciting thing that happens that day except, every single one of our recent converts came to church now that was exciting!

Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.


God gave us the great gift of agency and we are able to choose what we want we desire but we need to learn how to use our agency righteously that is one reason why we are here on earth is for us to learn how to choose the right and by choosing to do good and follow him and his teachings we are able to receive the gift of eternal life and happiness and to dwell with god in the celestial kingdom.

Hey yall! Hopw you had a good week and a good 4th.  This week was pretty good. This week was transfer week so things were a little crazy but me and my comp are both staying here in Brookings which is lit, but nothing really to crazy happend with transfers sooooo. But of course we had the 4th of July this week and sadly, cuz this ward is a little wack, no one invited us over for a party or fireworks so we were on our own.  We went to Walmart and bought a cheap charcoal grill and we whipped up some mash potatoes and some steaks. But after that we tried to go and played Frisbee golf and as soon as we started playing the first hole we were getting swarmed by like 40-50+ mosquitos.   Because of that, the second we finished the first hole we booked it back to our car and left and went bowling. Yo Soy Muy Guapo I Guess...

Hey yall hope you had a great week! So this week was the last week of the transfer and I was really hoping that I was going to leave.  But unfortunately, I am staying for a 4th transfer here in Brookings.  Now I'm not upset that I get to stay here, I mean I love it here.  But it's only fun as a missionary for like 4 and a half months and then it gets boring.  But I'm excited as well.  We have some awseome people we are teaching who have a lot of potential. This week we had a lesson with our friend Lowless and he is a super cool guy.  He is from Papua New Guinea and he is a such a cool guy.  He is very introverted and very soft spoken so it was kinda hard for him to talk to the members, but he will get more comfortable as he comes more.  But the craziest thing is that he has only been in the US for three weeks.  He is here with some program where he comes to SDSU for school, but hopefully we will be able to set him on date for baptism. LEETS GOO CHEIFS

How's it going peeps?  I hope y'alls weeks was great!!!   This week was baller we had zone conference so that was swag. Tuesday was just a regular normal day just knocking doors and trying to find some people to teach. Since our area is super big we cover many small little towns and we recently got a referal for this lady next to this one small town called Cumberland. So on this day we decided to go down there to see if we could talk to a few people but it really sucked since literally nobody was home and the lady that we had the referral for said that she didn't want to meet with us yet since she has like issues with her husband so she didn't want us to come over. So the whole like 25-30 minute drive to this small town was all for nothing, so that sucked.
