First P Day (missing district pics)

Hey yall! 
This is going to be a short email but I survived and made it to my first p day even though I had gotten here only two days before but honestly I have loved it here.  The food could be better but I have enjoyed being here in person much more than home mtc.


When i first got here all the other missionaries that have already been here for awhile were super nice and welcoming which helped me kind of get settled in. When I had gotten all my stuff that I need for the mission I had someone that was showing me to my dorm and at first he took me to the wrong residence hall eventually we got to the right one and I met the people that I am rooming with. They are pretty cool people from our branch. 


I have only been here for 2 days but I have been able to see so many of my friends here such as Elder Sherwood, Elder Callister, Elder Madsen, Elder Tagge and bunch of other people.


Although I was there only for half the day, Wednesday felt like forever. And it was weird meeting my district for the first time after we had been on zoom all week long but other than that they are really cool people. 


While in the mtc they want us to sign up to teach lessons to people and it's kind of scary because some of the people are actually people thay have been refred to the mtc to help them learn and are acutally investigators and some are actors but you dont know whos who and on Thursday me and my comp had to teach one of these lessons and honestly it wasn't too bad it definitely could have gone better but it was kind of cool to be able to actually teach someone.


Yesterday we got to meet our branch presidency and they pulled each of the companionship and just wanted wanted to talk to them but it was really unfortunate because me and my cool have to teach a short lesson for priesthood meeting on Sunday which I was hoping that I wasn't going have to do but more blessings ya know.

Getting Eaten Alive

Hey yall! Hopw you had a good week and a good 4th.  This week was pretty good. This week was transfer week so things were a little crazy but me and my comp are both staying here in Brookings which is lit, but nothing really to crazy happend with transfers sooooo. But of course we had the 4th of July this week and sadly, cuz this ward is a little wack, no one invited us over for a party or fireworks so we were on our own.  We went to Walmart and bought a cheap charcoal grill and we whipped up some mash potatoes and some steaks. But after that we tried to go and played Frisbee golf and as soon as we started playing the first hole we were getting swarmed by like 40-50+ mosquitos.   Because of that, the second we finished the first hole we booked it back to our car and left and went bowling. Yo Soy Muy Guapo I Guess...

Hey yall hope you had a great week! So this week was the last week of the transfer and I was really hoping that I was going to leave.  But unfortunately, I am staying for a 4th transfer here in Brookings.  Now I'm not upset that I get to stay here, I mean I love it here.  But it's only fun as a missionary for like 4 and a half months and then it gets boring.  But I'm excited as well.  We have some awseome people we are teaching who have a lot of potential. This week we had a lesson with our friend Lowless and he is a super cool guy.  He is from Papua New Guinea and he is a such a cool guy.  He is very introverted and very soft spoken so it was kinda hard for him to talk to the members, but he will get more comfortable as he comes more.  But the craziest thing is that he has only been in the US for three weeks.  He is here with some program where he comes to SDSU for school, but hopefully we will be able to set him on date for baptism. LEETS GOO CHEIFS

How's it going peeps?  I hope y'alls weeks was great!!!   This week was baller we had zone conference so that was swag. Tuesday was just a regular normal day just knocking doors and trying to find some people to teach. Since our area is super big we cover many small little towns and we recently got a referal for this lady next to this one small town called Cumberland. So on this day we decided to go down there to see if we could talk to a few people but it really sucked since literally nobody was home and the lady that we had the referral for said that she didn't want to meet with us yet since she has like issues with her husband so she didn't want us to come over. So the whole like 25-30 minute drive to this small town was all for nothing, so that sucked. Then when we got back we went over to a recent converts house to help him move some stuff in his nasty garage and when i say this garage was nasty is was NASTY so after that, I just ended the night.
